About Me
I’m Noam Chitayat — an engineering leader, coach, and consultant with 17 years of experience building and growing high-performing software organizations. Over the course of my career, I’ve led teams at companies like Indeed and Remitly, guiding engineering groups through massive scale, technical transformation, and organizational change. I’ve also built the platforms used by Speedtest, Moz Local, as well as Xbox Music and Video.
What I’ve learned through all of those experiences is that technology is never just about the systems — it’s about the people who build them, the leaders who support them, and the culture that makes it all work.
Career & Leadership Coaching
Developing people has been the most rewarding part of my career. I’ve coached engineers into management, guided managers through their first leadership challenges, and mentored senior leaders ready to take the next step. I’ve worked with programs like Ada Developers Academy and Techtonica, helping interns grow into full-time engineers, and I’ve built inclusive hiring and promotion processes that helped broaden access to opportunities.
If you’re looking for a coach who understands the challenges of leadership in tech — from managing your first team to navigating executive responsibilities — I’d love to help you succeed.
Fractional CTO & Technical Consulting
In addition to coaching, I take on selective consulting work as a fractional CTO or technical advisor. I specialize in:
- Scaling software platforms and infrastructure (APIs, identity systems, cloud architecture).
- Stabilizing organizations during periods of growth, reorg, or leadership transition.
- Driving cross-functional alignment between product, engineering, and design.
If your company needs senior technical leadership without a full-time executive hire, I can help bring clarity, structure, and momentum.
A Little More About Me
When I’m not helping teams and leaders thrive, I enjoy traveling, learning languages, creative writing, and gaming. I’m also known for the occasional dad joke… it’s a feature, not a bug.

Whether you’re looking for career coaching, leadership development, or fractional CTO support, I’d be happy to connect.
